Split System Aircon Repairs & Service JOONDALUP

Split System servicing, when to service your split system.

We get asked all the time, when do I need to service my split system air conditioner? Well if your split system hasn’t had a good service for 2 years or more, we would always recommend a deep clean.

A deep clean involves antibacterial spray and pressure cleaning of the indoor unit coils. If the filters havent been cleaned for a while you will most likely find that the indoor unit coils are filthy and will most likely require cleaning.

Below is what is involved with both the minor and major services.

Basically, you want to give your split system a minor service every 12 months. We recommend major servicing every 2 years (depending on usage and environment) but our technicians can advise you on the day if he believes your split system will require a deeper more thorough cleaning.

Evaporative Air Conditioning Service / Repair JOONDALUP

Evap air con servicing, when to service your evaporative AC?

Evaporative or evap units require servicing annually. Evaps work by storing water in a tank that is pumped over PADS to cool the air being pulled through.

Some older evaps do not have drain valves, so water can sit stagnant all through winter. This is why some evap systems have a foul smell when turned on for the first time in summer. We recommend an evap service summer start-up service before the heat hits, as air con technicians near you may become very busy very fast.

As part of the service we will perform the following:

• Remove and clean evap pads.
• Empty, clean and wash water tank.
• Sanitise ready for use.
• Test fan motor, drains and pumps.
• Leave your evap AC nice and clean, and not smelly.
